What makes a good moisturizer for oily, acne-prone skin?
Gel type or watery. This type of moisturizer is lightweight, non-greasy, and easily absorbed by the skin. Common product keywords to look for: ‘hydrating’ and ‘water’.
Oil-free, especially for daytime use. No mineral oil, liquid paraffin / paraffinum liquidum, and plant oils.
Hydrating. Humectant ingredients like hyaluronic acid and glycerin appear higher in the ingredients list.
Alcohol-free, preferably. No ethanol or ethyl alcohol, denatured alcohol, methanol, isopropyl alcohol, SD alcohol, and benzyl alcohol
Antioxidants are not required but a great plus!
